Project
Re-imagining the user experience for a national research institute bringing fresh insights to healthcare in the UK
Project background
We were appointed by Engage Interactive to deliver a discovery and prototyping project for their client This Institute, a research institute led by the University of Cambridge and funded by the Health Foundation. The client was looking to overhaul the user onboarding process for their research platform called Thiscovery.
UX Prototyping
We completely re-imagined the user journey, from initial discovery of a research project, right through to account creation and an active user dashboard.
We developed a simple wireframe prototype that highlighted our key recommendations, enabling us to perform focused user testing with healthcare patients.
User Testing
We planned and delivered a series of focus groups and individual hour long interviews with subjects who had recently had been involved with end-of-life care. Obviously this was something that needed to be handled delicately, but the insights gathered were crucial in shaping the overall approach.
Recommendations
Once the user testing feedback had been applied we delivered a detailed handover to the Engage design and development teams. Because of our knowledge of the project we were kept on the project to provide consultancy during the design phase.
